End of an Era

04-03-2017 was the date on which our college life ended officially 😅.

There I was, sitting by window with my farewell invitation in my hand. I still couldn't believe that the best years of my life were finally coming to an end. So many memories.... How time flies by! I met so many new people. Made some relations which will last for life. People whom I'll carry in my heart forever. Wish I could turn back time, to the good old days.
I was excited for my farewell but at the back of my mind I was still upset about my undergraduate days' end. I still remember that this time, last year we were planning farewell for our seniors and now here we are, waiting for our own farewell. I remember the 1st day of my junior college like yesterday and the memories of the 1st day of my FyBmm are as fresh like it happened today.
I feel overwhelmed and grateful to be a part of this college and to meet so many wonderful people. I could go on and on about it but I'll stop now.
Lastly I'd like to say that:
All good things have to end and I'm glad that it is ending on a positive note and with a hope of  holding on to the bonds for life.

Ride with Pride

So yess the wait was over she finally agreed to come to me i was gonna meet her for the very first time and ohh shitt she was in front of me, she was tall with a curvaceous body, a body that one could desire of only in their dreams. I was just waiting to touch her and ride her.
OHH! Sorry guys did i tell you that i was talking about my new bike? Hahaha, I'm really sorry.
Yes I bought my new bike it feels so good to have a self owned bike.

This blog is completely going to be about me and my bike and I hope maybe my words do justice in translating my feelings towards it. Let me copy paste a googled quote for you guys, 'I never really questioned why I ride, its as basic as breathing to me'. Well I don't know why I pretty much related myself to the quote, whether it be a 100cc or a 650cc(cause thats thats the max powerful bike I've ridden yet or else I'd have used 1000cc) riding a bike and the enjoying the pleasure is actually just as basic as breathing. So lets vrooom!!

It feels so good that the bike is in your own name. Well not many of us would know that feeling yet, but for those who do they know how awesome it feels. So here i was with my FIRST NEW bike; guided by my friends how to take care of a new bike. How not to ride it above 40kmph for the first thousand km basically how to brake in a new engine. I followed each n every step of braking in and here I am, completely in love with her. Her sound when it starts. From the moment i start the engine and switch it back off the feeling, the engine grunt, the adrenaline feel while picking up speeds, the gear shifts are just the emotions that a real biker at heart would feel.

There are times when i come back home at nights park my bike, see that the chain is all dirty just go in the house keep thinking about it. I won't be able to have a good night sleep until I don't get that thing done, so i go out in the parking at almost midnight with a chain cleaner, chain lube and a rag... clean the chain throughly lube it and go back in the house with a sigh of relief and satisfaction. What is it if its not love?

You know i love weekends. TGIF? No work n college stress? Lets party? Oh hell no! I love the weekends because those are the only days when i get ample amount of time to be with my ride, clean it, wax and polish it and cherish its beauty. Oh and how can one not think of Sunday breakfast rides? For me this could be my Weekending... unlike people who enjoy their friday saturday nights clubbing/ partying...

Well if we're talking about the adrenaline rush, Yeah! I do like to speed up at times, feel the rush that comes with its joy. But let me tell you one thing folks... this joy is not at all precious to me more than my life. I do wear proper safety gears, if not the gears atleast a proper helmet. Use rear view mirrors while driving, cause guess what...the drivers out there on the road do not love you, they step out of their houses each day like they're going for a war, right? I love my bike and more than anything I love my precious life and the people in it. So Do enjoy riding, ride fast or slow make sure that firstly you don't cause an inconvenience & harm to other people around and secondly you consider everybody's safety including yourself and then twist your wrist.

Thankyou for reading my blog once again, do share your reviews on how I should improvise and Ride Safe. Cause its a Jungle out there!

If not manali it has to be Auli

Auli was my first north trip with my friends. The reason behind this trip was I never got a chance to be in snow before and it topped my bucket list when YHJD released.
The trip was planned by my office group and I involved my friends, too. We decided to halt and visit various places beforing touring Auli i.e from Mumbai-haridwar-Pipalkothi-Auli and while returning;Auli-Rishikesh-Delhi-Mumbai.
In the beginning of the journey there were two groups for me; my chaddi buddies and my office group. I had to make a balance between the two so nobody would feel left out.
We created hell lot of memories as well as a new bond which would last forever. We built a bonfire in Haridwar, had a snow fight in Auli, sang songs while traveling... The best among all was the experience we had while river rafting in Rishikesh.
Time flies, they say. Indeed 9 days came to an end and we headed back. We did not want to leave because the journey from strangers to a gang was very beautiful. People are like music, the more you listen; the more you understand and like them.
I miss those days spent with my people. Those are the best days of my life without a doubt !

Impromptu Ride

"Baithe baithe kya kare karna hai kuch kaam shuru karo antakshari…
“areee antakshari kyu khelni h chalo jaate h kahi...”
“kahan jayenge yaar raat k 9:00 baj rahe h??”
“chalo lonavla”

Haha YESS! After hearing this we all got very excited as we decided to go on a bike ride to Lonavala. One of my favourite pastimes besides eating is bike-riding. Riding bikes for such a long distance at night was a task we were inexperienced at. This was making us a bit nervous.

We then decided to meet at my place (my house was our adda) after dinner to discuss the plan.

It was already 11:30pm, so we decided to sleep for two hours and leave by 2:00am. Though the lights went off, excitement and nervousness kept us awake. Leaving at 2 was the least we could do. So we left by 12:30am and reached the old Pune Road around 3:00 am.

There were no street lights which made us doubt our plan but going back was not an option. Honestly, I am the scaredy-cat among my friends.

After an hour or so we reached at the foot of  Lonavala Ghats.
We stopped, had breakfast and relaxed for a while.
Then we resumed riding through the Ghats by 5:00 am and soon reached the peak spot ie Tiger Point.
Pleasant climate with cool breeze and beautiful landscapes kept our zest for life alive. Soon we headed back home.

This is a two year old trip but one of the best experiences I have had so far. It is always great if you are accompanied by our friends.

Thank you for reading and bearing with my first blog. Keep reading.

RIDE SAFE.
